Yellow Crush

Yellow has always been my favorite color. It is bold, evokes cheerfulness, and usually can be paired with most other colors. According to an executive director of the Pantone Color Institute this color is "a beacon of light." Pantone included a yellow in their Spring 2018 colors,  called Meadowlark. You also saw numerous shades on the runway.

Did Beyonce Lemonade spark some inspiration?

When I saw this yellow Mara Hoffman dress, I immediately knew I needed it as part of my wardrobe.  One sleeved, volume, great length, with a marigold tint. I loved the stark contrast of the black buttons. 

I decided to pair the dress with my Celine Clear tote and sample sale treasures; a Eddie Borgo cuff I found for $5, and Versace heels I sourced for $50.

As a alternative I could see myself pairing this dress with pink or red shoes and a simple clutch. For a even more casual look I may layer with jeans and converse sneakers ( which I actually did one day for work).
