Travel in Style: Napa Valley

My time in San Francisco was short but amazing. Saturday was so good, I needed to take some time to share my wonderful day in Napa Valley with Green Dreams Tours  and my new off the shoulder top.

We were picked up on early Saturday morning from our hotel downtown, and boarded a bus with 12 other patrons. The day would consist of robust historical commentary by our driver Chris, visits to 3 intimate wineries, and a stop for lunch at a dungeon crab taco heaven; C Casa.

All 3 stops on this tour were unique and special.

1. Spelletich Family Winery- this was not your traditional vineyard, but a manufacturer of wines. However,  you couldn't tell that from the expertise of Barb. She shared 10 different wines; the Port and Rose being my favorite here. We also had a opportunity to see the cellar and drink straight from the barrels.

2. Our second stop was the Andretti Winery, by race 🏁 car driver, Mario Andretti and his business partner Bob Pepi. The vineyard had a old charm to it and I felt like I was in a small Italian village. John gave us a great presentation and assortment of wine to taste outside in the back garden. He also "topped of the glass" with no hesitation if there was a particular wine you enjoyed the best. My personal favorite here was the shiraz.

3. Our final stop was the Madonna Estate, it began in 1922, making it the oldest we visited. This could be why this location was actually the most crowded of the 3. At this point I was actually kinda "wine out" but us ladies asked for a moscato to end the day off with something sweet and they happily obliged.

Some key lessons I learned at the end of my day:

🔴Dont be afraid to try the same type of wine, but in various brands. I thought I hated Chardonnay, but at Spelletich I found one I liked.

🔴Everyone's palette is different, there are no real "experts". The descriptions of various notes in a wine can be intimidating to a beginner like myself, but if that's not what you taste or smell it's okay. The most important thing is "did you like it?"

For the days look I kept it casual, since I knew we would be running around a lot. I recently bought my first pair of white jeans in a long time so I pulled these out. Received 50% off these Zara Skinny jeans during the mid season sale.  The Petersyn Davenport Floral-Print Off-The-Shoulder Top shirt was light and airy. It is very much on trend with all the ruffles, stripes, and deconstructed shirting popular at the moment.

I wanted to keep the accessories minimal, so I added a braided navy choker I found in a local store when I lived in the heights for $5. Lastly, the look was completed with Loeffler Randall silver brogues and a animal crossbody bag I found on Poshmark for over 75% off.
