Shiny Suits: Hey why not?!
I recently had to come back to reality between my wedding and before departing for the honeymoon in April to handle my 9-5 business responsibilities. In retailing we have a time call market, where new products are showcased to buyers. Think the behind the scenes version of a Fashion Week; when the smoke is gone and where the work is really done.
Unlike a runway of free fashion expression, I have to find unique ways to be professional yet stay true to my style in the boardroom amongst VPs, CEOs, and key stakeholders.
A morning coffee break before a full day is always necessary. On this day I wear a Vera Wang Collection jacket and cropped pants in a shiny pewter color. Bought this suit originally to wear to a wedding, but now it has become office attire. I toned down its "electrifying" nature with a crisp white top. I wanted the boots to help elongate my frame which is why I chose a stretch fabric with a pointed toe. The orange bag added that "POP" of color we always need.
