Cold Shoulder
My spring weather dreams got answered!! Granted it was only for two days over the weekend ( 2.18-2.19) I took the time to bask in the sun and plan a pre-wedding week dinner with 2 of my bridesmaids.
If you remember, in January Tibi held a Liquidation sample sale as the store goes through renovations (I want to talk more Tibi Spring 17' later!!) This was one of their first brick-and-mortar sales in over 3 years, as they shifted to sample sales online.
I was able to go on the first day and was 5th in the door. My heart and wallet were set on only going to get a pair of shearling mules. BTW..I did find for them $25 and will be sure to share in a outfit as it gets warmer.
However I ended up trying on a number of "sample" pieces that lined the corner of the room. This Satin Poplin Off-the-Shoulder Shirt really caught my eye because:
1. I could wear it to work and on the weekends
2. I didn't currently own any blue button up shirts.
3. Menswear inspired and shoulder baring tops are on-trend for Spring
4. Retailing at $345, this was good deal brand new at $50
I paired my top with a pair of Frame Cargo pants in military green, Gucci Gingham Princeton slides (this shoe or style is a fashionista go-to), my Louis Vuitton pouchette, and casually draped my Eileen Fisher leather jacket on the shoulder.
I loved the green/blue combo, and the way the gingham broke up the matchy look. The bag has a logo design, but I felt it was neutral enough for the outfit. I added my favorite YSL arty ring and a Versace cuff I got from 3 sample sales ago for only $25!
Keeping it really simple on a Sunday night.
I am attaching a few links to similar items. The clothing I wear tend to come from sales, so of course I will share links to sales of these items below retail if I can find it!
What do you think of the look?
