Steven Alan Optical Sale

I tend to always pay attention to the current and next week sample sale schedules in NYC. 

Today at 4pm I stumbled upon the posting for a Steven Alan optical sample sale happening in midtown beginning today. I am in the market for new prescription frames so I headed over after work to see what I could find. 

As always I headed straight to the samples which were tucked away in the left corner of the room. In a plastic bin you could find optic lenses in various shapes and colors. They also had a small table with sample sunglasses. Many of then were the same styles as the stock pairs offered; so I recommend checking these out first. They were in good condition without scratches. If you are going to change the lenses out such as I am; that wouldn't pose a issue anyway.

All stock eyeglasses are priced at $40. Retail for these range online from $140-$195, So you are getting a discount of about 75-80% off.

Sunglasses were separated onto 3 tables priced at $45 and $55. 

Some styles I recommend are the Hayward, Fay, and Bergen which I spotted and are still online at retail. 

In eyeglasses, I recommend the frames in a Red Havana color. They are neutral enough for everyday, but not as common as a tortoise.

If you are in the market for some new shades or frames head over to 141 west 28th st, 7th Fl. The staff at the sale were cheerful, knowledgeable, and gave their honest opinion on how styles looked on my face.
