Layer your Maxi

You might see this post and say maxi dresses are solely summer-ready styles, but you can rock them even during winter months. This is where the art of layering comes into full play!

The dress I wore in Texas is the Anna Sui Printed Georgette Maxi Dress that retailed at $565. I was able to pick it up at a recent Anna Sui sample sale. It started for $40 with the other stock dresses, but I waited until the last day and snagged for $10. Patience is a virtue!

I layered with a leather jacket, cuff bracelet, and biker boots to create a wintery look. My mini Lady Dior I don't wear too often, but it paired well with this outfit.

My other suggestions for a winter maxi dress look:

• A long sleeve maxi in a bold print paired with a statement necklace
• A sleeveless maxi layered with a long sleeve round-neck top  with flats
• A three-quarter or cap sleeve maxi with a midi length duster vest or a waist length fur vest
